Merced Warming Center Opens Tonight, will Remain Open until March 31st

The Merced Rescue Mission is opening its Warming Center again this year.

The Center is open from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. today through March 31 at its Merced Avenue location. The Warming Center is open when the D Street Shelter is full, along with temperatures forecast to be below 40 degrees, or rain or dense fog.

The Mission is providing transportation to the Center. Those needing a ride are asked to be at D and 15th at 8 p.m. They will be returned to that location at 6 a.m.

Funding is provided by a Community Development Grant through the City of Merced.
