Golden Valley High Teacher Earns Ag Award

Congratulations to Golden Valley High School’s Ms. Vikki Davis for being honored last night at the Merced Agribusiness dinner. She has dedicated 25 years to the Ag Education profession and our community is very lucky to have her. She is the “glue” to the GVHS program.

Davis has been teaching since 1993 as an Agriculture Science Teacher and FFA Advisor here in California.  She work with students in the Golden Valley FFA Chapter here in Merced, CA.  She attended Merced College and received her Associates Degree in Agriculture and transferred to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo earning a Two Year Tech Degree in Animal Science and later earning a BS Degree in Agriculture Science with a concentration in both AG Business and Crop Science. Additionally, she has a Master’s Degree in Agriculture Education.

“I am proud to say I have worked with the best students during my teaching career from Chowchilla, Atwater and Merced Communities.  I am grateful and blessed to have worked with these agricultural programs,” she wrote on her website. Read more about her and her work HERE.
