Explorer Scouts (Post 322) donate supplies to victims of the Detwiller Fire

Today the Merced County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Scouts (Post 322) made a trip up to Mariposa to donate backpacks, school supplies, food, and hygiene products to a family that had lost their home in the Detwiler Fire. After helping the family in Mariposa, the Explorer Scouts headed to Coulterville High School and Greeley Hill Elementary School to donate about $2,500.00 worth in much needed school supplies to families who had also lost their homes.

The fine young men and women of the Explorer Scout Post 322 dedicated their time to collecting donations and money to give to the needy that had lost everything in the Detwiler Fire. They actively went out into the community and took in donations from local businesses so they could help the families who were in need.
