Officers were called to the area of 24th and V Street where a neighbor saw a suspicious car parked. As officers were arriving, they were advised by the dispatch center, who ran the license plate, that the car had been reported stolen almost a month earlier. Arriving officers contacted Jordan Lloyd, who was inside the car. Lloyd was reported as the original suspect in the theft of the car, which was taken from the 1300 block of W 19th Street. Officers were able to take Lloyd into custody without incident for auto theft. They also found that he is currently on probation for identity theft out of Stanislaus County. Lloyd was booked into the Merced County Jail for auto theft.
