On a sunny and windy Friday morning, 57 high school volunteers donated a day of service to rid our city of graffiti. With the coordination of Public Works, LPBD, Council member Daronica Johnson-Santos, and our high school liaison (and former Council member) Elizabeth Stonegrove they covered graffiti at Overland and Mercey Springs and Canal Farm and Manchester. Volunteers were issued a letter signed by the Mayor and returned to the community center where they were treated to 16 large pizzas—and not one slice was leftover! A big shout out to Sherman Williams who donated 20 gallons of paint, paint supplies, t-shirts and hats. Much thanks to the volunteers for their commitment to keep Los Banos clean.
