MERCED PD’S GVSU CONFISCATED ASSAULT WEAPON FROM FELON

On Wednesday April 27, 2016 the Merced Police Department’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit (GVSU) developed information that convicted felon Robert Maule who is on parole was in possession of a firearm at a home in Merced. GVSU officers conducted a parole search at the residence and located an AR-15 assault rifle, 223 caliber ammunition, a high capacity magazine and a baggy of meth inside Maule’s safe. He was later booked at the Merced County jail for felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, felon in possession of a high capacity magazine, felon in possession of an assault weapon and possession of meth.
